Water storage for cucumbers, Bulgaria

Bulgaria’s horticultural sector has long-standing traditions, particularly in vegetable production. These traditions are a result of the highly favorable soil and climate conditions for this type of farming. The Bulgarian vegetable production is facing a lot of obstacles, but there is enormous potential. As such, we have been delivering our water storage tanks to several crop producers in Bulgaria, through a Bulgarian dealer.

This water tank was installed at a greenhouse where cucumbers are grown, in the North of Bulgaria. Water storage plays a crucial role in greenhouse cucumber cultivation by providing a reliable and consistent water supply, especially during periods of water scarcity or when precise control over irrigation is essential. This water tank enables the grower to maintain optimal moisture levels, adapt irrigation schedules and mitigate risks associated with drought or disruptions to water sources. Additionally, this storage silo supports fertigation and reduces dependency on external sources. It also contributes to environmental sustainability by promoting efficient water use.
